Vacation in Anguilla

Returned last week from a vacation on the Caribbean island of Anguilla. It has gorgeous beaches, great snorkling and lots of 4 star restaurants.

The water is beautiful, this is the East Shoal Bay beach. That's coral just a few feet out.



One day we went to the northern most point of the island to Windward Bay.



Yes we were the only ones there!

The beach was quite rugged in some places:





There was a GIANT length of rope on the beach. The diameter of the rope was at least 10 inches. I could only lift the end of it:



We went to Crocus Bay Beach, and yes we were the only ones there:




Our hotel was beautifully landscaped.

We traveled around in a little jeep-like vehicle.



They drive on the left hand side of the road, but the driver side is also the left hand side (like here in the states) Needless to say it was confusing.

Anguilla has some fabulous resorts. This is Malliouhana Hotel (no we didn't stay there)





This is Cuisinart -- no we didn't stay there either...







Another resport is Cap Juluca... no we didn't stay here either.
